DELIVERY POLICY
Effective Date: August 2026
At MKJ Wines by Enelo, we are committed to delivering your wine order safely, securely and within a reasonable timeframe. As a premium wine brand, we aim to provide a seamless experience from the moment your order is placed to the moment it arrives at your chosen delivery address.
1. Standard Delivery Timeline
All confirmed and successfully paid orders are generally processed and delivered within 5–7 working days. The delivery period begins once:
- Payment has been successfully received and verified;
- The order has been confirmed; and
- The delivery address and required customer information have been provided.
It must be noted that working days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and South African public holidays.
While MKJ Wines will make every reasonable effort to meet the stated delivery timeframe, delivery times may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, adverse weather conditions, public holidays, peak-season demand, incorrect delivery information or unforeseen logistical disruptions.
2. Delivery Area and Radius
MKJ Wines offers delivery within its designated service areas.
Standard delivery applies within a 10 km radius of the Enelo Wellness Spa premises, subject to the availability of our delivery service. For deliveries beyond the 10 km radius, an additional delivery fee may apply. The applicable fee will depend on the distance between the Enelo Wellness Spa premises and the customer's delivery address. Where an additional delivery fee applies, the customer will be informed of the applicable charge before the order is dispatched.
Collection of the wines can also be made at the Enelo Wellness Spa premises for convenience.
3. Delivery Fees
Delivery fees are determined according to the delivery location and applicable delivery arrangements.
- Within 10 km: Standard delivery may apply, subject to the applicable MKJ Wines delivery terms.
- Beyond 10 km: An additional delivery fee may apply based on distance (R7 per extra km over the free 10km).
- Special or extended-distance deliveries: MKJ Wines reserves the right to assess delivery charges on a case-by-case basis. Any applicable delivery fee must be paid before the order is dispatched.
4. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address, including:
- Street or building name and number;
- Suburb;
- City or town;
- Postal code;
- Contact telephone number; and
- Any relevant access or delivery instructions.
MKJ Wines cannot be held responsible for delays or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect, incomplete or outdated information supplied by the customer.
5. Safe and Responsible Delivery
As MKJ Wines sells alcoholic beverages, all deliveries are subject to applicable South African laws and responsible alcohol-delivery practices. The person receiving the order may be required to provide valid proof of age and identity upon delivery. MKJ Wines reserves the right to refuse delivery where the recipient cannot satisfactorily demonstrate that they are legally permitted to receive the alcoholic products. Orders will not knowingly be delivered to persons who are under the legal drinking age or to persons who appear to be intoxicated.
6. Failed Delivery Attempts
If a delivery cannot be completed because the recipient is unavailable, the address is inaccessible, the information provided is incorrect, or the recipient cannot provide the required proof of age and identity, a further delivery attempt may be subject to an additional delivery charge. Where applicable, MKJ Wines will contact the customer to arrange an alternative delivery time.
7. Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers are encouraged to inspect their order upon receipt and confirm that:
- The correct products have been delivered;
- The bottles are intact; and
- There is no visible damage to the packaging or products.
Any damage, shortage or incorrect item should be reported to MKJ Wines as soon as reasonably possible after delivery, preferably within 48 hours of receipt, together with photographic evidence where applicable.
8. Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances
Although our standard delivery timeframe is 5–7 working days, MKJ Wines cannot guarantee delivery within this period where delays arise from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
These may include:
- Courier or logistics disruptions;
- Severe weather;
- Public holidays;
- Road closures or transport disruptions;
- High-volume promotional or seasonal periods;
- Incorrect customer information;
- Events affecting the availability or transportation of products; or
- Other circumstances beyond MKJ Wines' reasonable control.
Where a significant delay occurs, MKJ Wines will make reasonable efforts to communicate the delay to the customer.
9. Order Changes and Delivery Instructions
Customers should ensure that all delivery details are correct before completing their purchase.
Requests to change a delivery address after an order has been dispatched may not be possible and could result in additional delivery charges.
10. Customer Responsibility
By placing an order with MKJ Wines, the customer acknowledges and agrees to:
- Provide accurate delivery information;
- Ensure that an eligible person is available to receive the order;
- Provide valid identification or proof of age where requested;
- Pay any applicable additional delivery fees; and
- Inspect the order upon delivery and promptly report any concerns.
